Feed the People Wednesdays: Community Conversations

Gather•Grub•gab

This summer Rhamis Kent will host a series of discussions about Stewardship and Sustainability. We will discuss a wide range of topics relating to serving those in need in our community, caretaking the earth, and building self-reliant communities through regenerative economics. We will also discuss the work we have been doing working with farmers, caterers, and community organizations across our city who put people over profit. Rhamis will guide discussions on these topics, inviting guests from around our city who are doing good work in these domains, so that we can explore actionable solutions for challenges in our community and in our world. Come share a meal and conversation in community for Wasat Wednesdays.

“If we can feed ourselves we can free ourselves. Growing food is a radical act and the beginning of freedom. By the humble, soul-enriching act of growing food on healthy, fertile soil, and, in the process, cultivating and nurturing the bio-diverse landscape we call home, we lay a firm ethico-moral and socio-ecological foundation for generating meaningful enterprises which help flourish regenerative and self-sufficient Communities.

The most important in these intentional Communities is preservation and propagation of Din and those that facilitate health and life through socio-transactional economy. In such a Community, an individual finds meaning in unique individuality by proactively identifying their callings in life and fulfilling them in dedicated, sincere service towards realizing the Common Good of the Community, and thereby their own personal good.

Thus, I Am because We Are & We Are therefore I Am."
