Wasat is pleased to offer Middle school and High school youth programs this year, lead by our esteemed Wasat community member and Teacher:
Ustadh Sharief Yusuf
Br. Sharief is a Seattle native who grew up taking part in youth programs in the local Muslim community before venturing off to study the sacred sciences at the prestigious Al-Azhar in Cairo. Br. Sharief recently returned completing his Master’s from Zaytuna College, Berkeley. He is a regular teacher at Everett Masjid, among other institutions in the area. He brings a wealth of knowledge in the Islamic tradition, combined with a passion for teaching and mentoring youth, as well as a deep connection to the Muslim community in the Pacific Northwest. We are grateful to have Br. Sharief as part of our Wasat family.
In addition to leading our youth program, Br. Sharief teaches a class for our general community at Wasat entitled Duas of the Prophets, which is held on Tuesdays at 7:30PM.
