Sunday Suhba is a weekly gathering of remembrance, reflection and refreshments.

Each Sunday this Winter quarter we will read from Imam Al-Haddad’s great ‘Book of Assistance.’ For centuries this manual of spirituality has served as a guide for seekers across Arabia, Africa, Asia and beyond to polish the mirror of the heart to reflect the light of Allah. Class will be followed by refreshments.

Class Details:

6pm: Remembering the Beloved ﷺ

Join us for a gathering of remembrance of Allah and His Messenger through spiritual poetry, song and reflection. This weekly gathering includes a recitation of the prophetic biography in poetic form and features qasidas in Arabic, English, and other languages.

7pm: The Prophetic Way: Readings in Islamic Spirituality

The Prophetic Way series Baraka Blue guides us through texts by the great sages of the Islamic tradition. Readings focus on the teachings of the Prophet ﷺ on the purification of the heart as a means of drawing near to the Divine Presence.

Recordings will be uploaded on YouTube weekly. This event will not be live-streamed.
