The Art of Remembrance.

Baraka Blue is a renowned poet, writer, and performing artist who has released numerous works that have inspired and moved audiences around the world. He got his start in Seattle in the early 2000’s, performing at local open-mic events and collaborating with other artists in the local music and spoken word scene. Blue’s latest collection of poetry builds on that history and delivers powerful verse that captures the essence of life, love, and faith.

Baraka Blue’s poetry is characterized by its unique voice, timeless themes, and profound reflection on the human experience of seeking the divine. This latest work hones his themes of spirituality, identity, social justice, and personal transformation.

This Event is Hosted by Essam

Essam Muhammad, a local rapper, actor, and community organizer based in South Seattle who actively works to create safe spaces for young poets to grow and share their work.

The evening will kick off with a music, recitation, and poetry by Baraka Blue and special guests, followed by a book signing and an author conversation.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the author and ask questions about his creative process, inspiration, and evolution as an artist.
