How have you implemented what you've learned at wasat to your service?

I carry in my heart and utilize my experiences with Wasat events, speakers, teachers and their diverse community often in my calling of service work.  The Wasat model of Islamic teachings,  compassionate service and dignified assistance to those in need helps me to exercise more patience/sabr and understanding in serving individuals of different ethnicities, religions, the younger generation, the older generations and all in  between. Alhumdulillah, Masha Allah.

May Allah reward the Wasat team with the best of rewards for their never ending service to our community.  Ameen.

Why is service sacred to you?

The sacredness of what I do is extremely spiritually rewarding.   It is an inspiration, a calling to service from Allah.

I think that everyone who steps up to the plate and answers the call to be of genuine and heartfelt service to those in need, finds that this work joyfully fills our spiritual bank accounts in ways that can't truly be described on a secular level.

What changes do you hope for from your service?

I hope that the service I provide to the community will help to reduce the number of  families and individuals who are in crisis and in need of help. In Shaa Allah.

May Allah continue to use me to be is service to those in crisis.  Ameen.
