Why is service sacred to you?
Service is sacred to me because it feels as though we can be the answer to each other’s prayers.
It can come from a place of selflessness and a desire to feel oneness with our fellow living beings.
Why is the service you provide sacred to you?
Whenever I make anything with my hands, especially juice, I ask that Allah make it a means of benefit for those who will consume it.
I often times recite Quran or listen to it while making juice as it calms my spirit and reminds me to trust that Allah sees my intention and blesses my efforts.
What do you love most about Wasat?
Wasat is a collection of people who see the value in community, the beauty in servant leadership and the importance of advocacy.
I love the energy of the community and the way we show reverence and compassion to each other and the community at large.
