What does Sacred Service mean to you?
Service is the act of giving up your time and resources to support those who would otherwise not be supported.
Service is sacred to me because it is part of the essence of living life. Those who are in need won't always be in a good place in their mind, so no matter what or who or how they are to you, I think it's our duty to be of service regardless.
Why is your service sacred?
Because of the beauty of the community I capture in it. Wherever you're from, you should feel the need to be of a service to your community because that is what makes community.
What does Wasat mean to you and how does Wasat embody sacred service?
Wasat has a big meaning in my life. It has shown the many identities in our own community and allowed me to learn what other communities have to offer. Wasat has been able to bring different mindset together in order for us all to learn from one another and implement those lessons in our lives.
I love Wasat because I've been able to connect with many different individuals who I would never in my life meet and learn from them what I would have never learned.
Muzammil believes he would not able to do what he does without his deen and Allah (saw) has been the One to guide him throughout this process of life. That said, Qadr plays a big role in his life. Whatever He decreed is what is meant to happen, alhamdulillah.
